Nicely situated in the York town, closer to the historic sites , good food, nice rooms beds comfortable . Customer services within expectations. Food served are excellent, staff were supportive, front reception staff need to be a bit more courteous , price of liquor is high, closer to the major town , easy access for vehicles and big car park, closer to alot of restaurants and other amenities,overall I like the place.

Excellent break away with friends.

Spent three nights with friends at the Novotel which is very close to Barbican and had a great stay. Triple room was good size, liked separate toilet and breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Staff excellent and special mention to Karl for looking after us. Claire, Liverpool.

Absolutely lovely hotel, clean and staff were really welcoming. Big shout out to Karl in the restaurant who made us all feel very welcome. Sunday roast was exceptional and would highly recommend. Could really not fault and you would have to be really critical if you gave any less of a rating. Thank you and will definitely be returning :-)

A warm welcome, great restaurant, really friendly staff and comfortable room! This hotel is perfectly located for a city break in York.

Filthy room, dust in all corners,crumbs on tops and along recessed cupboard handles and fridge door. Stained carpets including what looked like a sick stain. Complained during stay via email as requested. Nothing done. On return finally got a reply alleging a totally made up allegation about load music coming from our room all night. So no refund.I'm an unwell 56 year old who was fast asleep by 1145. Front of house manager a very rude young lady who needs some management training. All in all a shocking stay. Been to many Novotels, here and abroad. I've never had an experience like this.Member of accor, but seemly not worth anything.I ve given them the chance to sort it. So now the review. They are or rather Front of house complete liars.
